Flannery O’Connor – Operation Lexicon 9

Description A lexicon is the collected vocabulary of a person. Over the course of 26 weeks, students will explore a cluster of words from the lexicon of Flanner O’Connor. Using these words in an original way, with inspiration from her many short stories and letters, will help the budding wordsmith recognize the plasticity of language and delight in its beauty. In Her Own Words A story is a way to say something that can’t be said any other way, and it takes every word in the story to  say what the meaning is.   I write to discover what I know.   Included in the 9th Grade Collection.
