SK7 1AH Is your child looking for a new use of their arts and crafts skills? Sewing Club is designed to help children explore new ways of using their creative ideas and expressing them through a series of hand embroidery and sewing projects. Every half term we try a different type of project. This includes learning new stitches, using different fabric types and changing from 2D to 3D projects. All sewing projects are based on the principle that we design them ourselves on paper first. This way, children learn to develop their design skills as well as their sewing skills. Drawing on paper and stitching by hand has been proven to help people slow down, be more mindful and develop their patience and perseverance. Children will finish each term with their own unique keepsakes to bring home, as well as a certificate and sew-on badge to record their progress. Places are limited to 8 children per session.
