DescriptionThis unique friendship board game helps classmates get to know each other better and resolve conflicts. It includes question cards with icebreakers and dice with team challenges to build good connections and community. If you're looking for a fun way to encourage friendships and help students connect when they come back to school or deal with friendship problems later in the year, I don't think you'll be disappointed in this game. This friendship activity is unlike other board games where students work against one another to win because the aim of this game is to work together in teams to “win” friendship. With only one game counter, students take turns rolling the dice, moving, and reading a card, or throwing the challenge cube. There’s no boredom due to downtime waiting for others to finish as everyone participates by answering the question or taking part in the activity no matter whose turn it is. Students learn to show respect, get to know one another, and bond by supporting the team during challenges. When they've made their way around the board, they're each given a square with a quilted border to contribute to a friendship quilt. The team works together to think of positive character traits and qualities that good friends have and write them on the quilt piece that they then color in. The result is a unique and beautiful friendship bulletin board to remind the class of the way a good friend behaves. There is also a bonus set of conflict cards to help older students who have relationship problems sort things out.
