DescriptionA low-prep Valentine's Day coloring and friendship activity where students write compliments to fill their classmates' buckets. This kindness lesson is an engaging way to nurture friendship and inclusion in your classroom. Celebrate Valentine's Day by building confidence and self-esteem through compliment notes students write to their classmates. Students make their own bucket using a disposable cup and the provided bucket labels and stickers or draw a bucket outline on a large piece of card. They get a list of classmates (3-5) they are to write a compliment for and choose some compliment notes from a selection of designs to color and decorate. These will be placed in the appropriate person's bucket or adhered to a bulletin board.➡️ Teacher Feedback"Loved using this product during February last year. These can be given with a personal letter they can write to a particular classmate or for their own compliment notes. Either way, it's a fun craft that can be decorated with the included stickers.You can use the coloring pages to reinforce the good feelings you have spoken about during the lesson or give them to early finishers as a mindfulness activity. The coloring sheets also make a gorgeous bulletin board full of positive messages of kindness and friendship to nurture character traits and enhance relationships. Coloring pages can also be printed on colored paper or card for ink-saving posters.NOTE: I recommend using a Bucket Filler book for this activity. Put the poster above it.Hand a list of 3-5 names of classmates to each child.Explain they will be acknowledging and appreciating classmates for Valentine’s Day by writing compliments to make them feel valued and loved. When the buckets have been filled, allow children to collect their own and read their compliments to themselves. Discuss the good feelings they experience and invite some to share a note if they wish. Students can also use the templates to make and decorate their own envelopes to store their notes in or to write a special letter to a classmate. Print the coloring pages for your bucket filling station or use as a mindfulness activity for fast finishers.Use as a Valentine's Day activity or anytime you want to teach about love and kindness.Use coloring pages to spread kindness and nurture friendships within your classroom and school.Use coloring activities to enhance fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
